Affiliated Aircraft

Affiliated Aircraft are civil aircrafts that are operated in compliance with the regulations of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) 14 CFR 91, 121, or 135 for the mutual benefit of the Department of the Interior (DOI) and the affiliated party. These aircrafts are made available to DOI at no cost and are used for various activities, including surveillance and emergency response. DOI often partners with affiliated parties, such as non-profit organizations and other government agencies, to provide these services. Affiliated Aircraft are an important resource for DOI as it helps them to efficiently manage and protect public lands, wildlife, and natural resources, while also promoting safety.
