Definition of Cabin

A cabin is a designated space in various modes of transportation where passengers can rest or sit comfortably during their journey. The layout and size of the cabin may vary depending on the transportation type. For instance, on a plane, the cabin refers to the entire passenger area, including seating arrangements, overhead compartments, and lavatories. On the other hand, a cabin on a cruise ship is typically referred to as a stateroom or state cabin and is a private room where passengers can rest or sleep during their voyage. Similarly, on a ship, a cabin can also refer to a sleeping quarter or shared room for passengers to rest in. Regardless of the purpose, a cabin is a designated space that provides comfort and respite during a journey.
