Definition of Cape:

A cape is a geographical formation that is considered as a narrow extension of a landmass into a body of water. It is typically smaller than a peninsula, and its shape is somewhat similar to a point or an extension along a coastline. Usually, a cape is formed by the erosion of the surrounding land area by wind and water over time, resulting in a small piece of land jutting out into the nearby water. Capes are found in many different parts of the world, and they can be an important feature in navigation, fishing, and other marine activities. Additionally, capes can have cultural, historical, and scenic significance, making them popular tourist destinations. Some capes are also home to lighthouses, which are used to warn ships of any potential dangers in the surrounding waters.
