The Eurotunnel, fondly known asChunnel,” is the underground railway tunnel that connects England and France, spanning the English Channel. Measuring over 50 km in length, it is an awe-inspiring engineering marvel that allows for comfortable and speedy travel between the two nations. The Chunnel is primarily used by the Eurostar train service, which ferries passengers between London and Paris or Brussels. The Chunnel project was completed in 1994 after more than ten years of construction, and it stands as a testament to the ingenuity and determination of human beings in overcoming geographic barriers.
