Definition of “Estimations

Estimations refers to the projected location of flights that are no longer visible within our coverage area but can still be determined using past radar data. These estimated positions are provided for up to 240 minutes after the flight is no longer in our coverage area. The estimated flight tracks are displayed as black dashed lines and can be viewed on Flightradar24. The accuracy of these estimations may vary depending on the availability and quality of the data, as well as the flight path and other external factors. It is important to note that these estimates are not definitive and should be used for informational purposes only. Overall, estimations are a useful tool for tracking flights even when they are out of our coverage area, helping to provide a more complete picture of the aviation industry.
