Folio

A folio is a detailed record of a guest’s expenses and credits during their stay at a hotel. This document is kept by the front office staff until the guest’s departure. The folio includes all charges incurred by the guest such as room and board, phone calls, room service, and other amenities requested during their stay. The guest can review the folio at any time during their stay to monitor their expenses and ensure accuracy. At the end of the stay, the front desk will present the guest with a final bill, which is also known as a guest bill or guest statement. The folio serves as an important document for the hotel staff and management to track revenue, and for the guest to keep track of their expenses. It is an essential component of the check-out process and is a crucial part of hotel accounting.
