OAS Approved Inspector

An OAS Approved Inspector is an individual who has been accepted by the Organization of American States (OAS) as an authorized inspector. Their role is to carry out inspections on behalf of a government agency, other than the Department of the Interior (DOI), for compliance with regulations and standards. The inspector must meet the established criteria and be listed on the United States Forest Service (USFS) Approved Inspectors List. This designation reflects that the inspector has undergone extensive training and possesses the necessary skillset to effectively and independently perform inspections to the required standard.
