What is NACTA?

NACTA, which stands for National Association of Career Travel Agents, is a professional trade group that primarily represents independent and home-based travel agents. The organization was founded to provide support, education, and networking opportunities for its members, who work in a rapidly evolving industry that requires constant adaptation and innovation.

Although now part of the larger American Society of Travel Agents (ASTA), NACTA continues to focus on the unique needs and challenges faced by independent and home-based agents, who may lack the resources and support available to larger agencies. By providing access to industry research, technology tools, and expert advice, NACTA helps its members stay competitive and succeed in an ever-changing marketplace.

NACTA also serves as a community and networking hub for its members, hosting conferences, webinars, and other events that bring together travel agents from around the country to share ideas, insights, and best practices. Through its partnerships with industry leaders and suppliers, NACTA is able to offer valuable discounts and other benefits to its members, further strengthening their businesses and enhancing the value they provide to their clients.

Ultimately, NACTA is a vital resource for any independent or home-based travel agent looking to build a successful career in an exciting and dynamic industry.
