Pacific Standard Time (PST) is a time zone that is eight hours behind Coordinated Universal Time (UTC-8). It is used in the western part of North America, including California, Nevada, and parts of Canada. The time zone is observed during the winter months, while Pacific Daylight Time (PDT) is used during the summer months. PST is also used as a frame of reference for scheduling events in the Pacific region, such as international conferences and television broadcasts.
