Significant Weather Prognostic

A significant weather prognostic, or SWP, is a set of four panels that display forecasted weather conditions that could potentially pose a threat to aviation operations. This includes weather phenomena such as thunderstorms, icing, turbulence, and low visibility. The SWP assists pilots and air traffic controllers in making informed decisions about flight paths, altitudes, and potential delays or diversions. The SWP not only presents current weather conditions but also includes projections for the next six hours, allowing aviation professionals to plan accordingly and ensure the safety of all on board.
