VHF (Very High Frequency) Communication Frequency Band

The VHF communication frequency band is a wireless communication band that encompasses the radio frequency spectrum ranging from 30 to 300 MHz. Within this range, specific frequencies are allocated for various purposes. For instance, frequencies from 108 to 118 MHz are reserved for navigation aids while frequencies from 118 to 136 MHz are reserved for civil air/ground voice communication. Additionally, other portions of the VHF band are used for non-aviation purposes. The VHF band is a widely used frequency range, especially in aviation, due to its reliable transmission characteristics, low noise levels, and ability to transmit over long distances.
