VFR Terminal Area Chart Definition
A VFR Terminal Area Chart is a geographical representation of Class B airspace with an accurate depiction of the topography, visual and radio aids to navigation, airfields, prohibited areas, obstructions, and relevant aeronautical information. This chart provides an orientation for visual flight rules (VFR) pilots flying in or near controlled terminal environments. The chart is available at a scale of 1:250,000 and is designed to support the segregation and control of aircraft within the Class B airspace. VFR Terminal Area Charts are an essential tool for pilots to ensure flight safety and situational awareness in a terminal area of airspace.
