Airworthiness Directives (ADs) are official notifications issued by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to registered aircraft owners, notifying them of conditions that affect an aircraft’s ability to maintain its airworthiness status. ADs must be adhered to within a specified timeframe, and the compliance status is recorded in the aircraft’s maintenance records.
