First Officer, also known as co-pilot, is the second in command of an aircraft. They work alongside the captain, carrying out various crucial duties and responsibilities necessary for a safe flight. The co-pilot takes over the controls of the aircraft in the absence of the captain, and assists them in monitoring the flight instruments and communication channels. They also oversee the systems and equipment, ensuring everything is functioning correctly, and work with the captain to make decisions relating to weather conditions, fuel consumption, and navigation. Overall, the role of the First Officer is critical to the successful operation of the aircraft and the safety of everyone on board.
