Ground Mishap, Aircraft Ground Mishap

A Ground Mishap, also referred to as an Aircraft Ground Mishap, is an unintentional event that occurs when an aircraft’s power plants and/or rotors are in operation but the aircraft is not intended to fly. During a Ground Mishap, damage may occur, requiring the replacement or repair of rotors, propellers, wheels, tires, wing tips, flaps, or other parts of the aircraft. Additionally, an injury may occur that requires first aid or medical attention.

Ground Mishaps can be caused by a range of factors, including technical issues, human error, or environmental conditions. Some common causes include maintenance errors, equipment failures, or mishandling of the aircraft by ground personnel.

In order to prevent Ground Mishaps, it is important to have effective safety protocols in place. This may include regular aircraft inspections, proper training for ground personnel, and clear procedures for handling the aircraft during ground operations.

Overall, the goal of mitigating Ground Mishaps is to ensure the safety of all personnel involved in aircraft operations, as well as to minimize damage to the aircraft and associated equipment.
