Maneuvering Speed (VA)

At or below maneuvering speed, the aircraft may not be structurally protected against multiple full control inputs in one or more axes simultaneously. Maneuvering speed is the maximum speed at which intentional full control deflections can be made without risking damage to the aircraft structure. It is important to note that maneuvering speed is not the same as maximum allowable airspeed or never-exceed speed. VA is determined by the aircraft manufacturer during the certification process and takes into account the structural limitations of the aircraft. Pilots should always be aware of the VA for their specific aircraft and ensure they do not exceed it during flight maneuvers. Exceeding maneuvering speed can result in structural damage, loss of control, and potential accidents.
