Omission Error

Omission error refers to a failure in aircraft control where pilots overlook significant instrument indications after making attitude changes. This often happens when pilots concentrate on one control, such as pitch, and forget about other essential controls like heading or roll information. Consequently, the erratic control of heading and bank poses a safety risk to passengers, crew, and the aircraft. Omission error is a critical mistake that can result in accidents if not rectified promptly. As such, pilots must stay alert, focused, and capable of multitasking to prevent these kinds of errors.
