Definition of Registration Certificate:

The Registration Certificate is an official document issued by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) that provides vital information about an aircraft and its owner. The document includes the name and address of the aircraft owner, the manufacturer’s serial number for the aircraft, and the register number that the aircraft must display. Similar to a registration slip for an automobile, the Registration Certificate serves as proof of ownership and compliance with FAA regulations. Furthermore, the certificate also serves as a record of the aircraft’s certification by the FAA, as well as any subsequent changes or modifications made to the aircraft. The Registration Certificate is an essential document for any aircraft owner and must be carried on board at all times.
