Definition of Stress:

The physiological and psychological response of an organism to environmental or internal demands placed upon it is known as stress. Stress elicits a range of bodily responses in order to cope with the situation at hand, making it an essential aspect of survival. It involves the activation of the sympathetic nervous system, which triggers the “fight or flight” response, and the release of cortisol, the body’s primary stress hormone, which helps to manage stress levels. Stress can be triggered by a variety of internal and external factors, including physical injury, emotional conditions, and environmental factors, and can have a variety of negative health consequences if not managed properly. However, stress can also be beneficial in small doses, as it helps us to stay focused, alert, and motivated to achieve our goals.
