Turn Coordinator

The turn coordinator is a gyroscopic instrument that is utilized in aircraft to detect motion and changes in direction about the longitudinal and yaw axes. The instrument works by making use of the principle of gyroscopic precession. As the aircraft changes direction, the turn coordinator detects and responds to these changes by displaying the rate of roll and the coordination of the turn. The turn coordinator is designed to provide pilots with critical information regarding the aircraft’s movements, thereby allowing them to maintain accurate control at all times. It is an essential instrument in flight safety that helps prevent accidents that could arise from improper control of the aircraft.
