Visual Meteorological Conditions (VMC)

Visual Meteorological Conditions (VMC) refer to weather conditions that enable pilots to fly using visual cues. VMC is expressed in terms of visibility, distance from clouds, and ceiling equal to or better than the specified minima. These conditions allow pilots to operate aircraft safely without relying on instruments. Meeting or exceeding the VFR minimum standards for visibility, cloud distance, and ceiling is essential in VMC. VMC is crucial for pilot safety, as it ensures that they can see and navigate clearly during flight operations.
