Airport LOC (Localizer)
The Airport Localizer (LOC) is a radio navigation system used by pilots for approach and landing at an airport. The system provides guidance to a pilot to ensure that their aircraft is on the correct approach path and aligned with the runway centerline. The LOC uses a ground-based transmitter that sends out a signal to the pilot’s navigation equipment in the cockpit.
