P-VASI

The P-VASI, or Pulsating Visual Approach Slope Indicator, is a visual system used in aviation to assist pilots in determining their aircraft’s descent path during the final approach to a runway. It provides a series of lights that change color and intensity to indicate the position of the aircraft in relation to the intended glide path. The P-VASI is particularly useful in adverse weather conditions, low visibility, or at night when visual cues may be more challenging to discern. This system is an important aid in promoting safe and precise landings, helping to prevent deviations from the correct glide path, which can pose a serious safety risk.
